What we show about certifications and reviews — and what we do not invent.
These fields feed Trust Check™ (verification), the letter grade shown on each vendor card.
How Trust Check™ is calculated
Trust Check™ adds up points for the verification evidence we have on record for a vendor, then converts the total to a letter grade. A factor with no supporting data earns no points; we never assume it.
Formula
Trust Check™ = 20 × Billing cycle + 15 × Legal address + 15 × BBB rating + 15 × Pharmacy model (503A/B) + 12 × LegitScript + 12 × PCAB + 11 × HIPAA

From score to grade
- A: 90 or more
- B: 80 to below 90
- C: 65 to below 80
- D: 50 to below 65
- F: below 50
Example: a vendor billed monthly, with a legal address, an A BBB rating, a 503A pharmacy, LegitScript and HIPAA but no PCAB accreditation scores 20 + 15 + 15 + 15 + 9 + 0 + 8.25 = 82.25, grade B.
What we display
- Certification name (for example, LegitScript) when flagged in our data
- Related compliance flags such as HIPAA, 503A, or 503B when recorded
- Contact information and vendor website when available
- External review scores only when review count and score are present
What we do not claim
- Invented certification grades (for example, “A+”)
- “All vendors certified” without data support
- Unsupported user counts or “verified price” badges without a date
- 0.0 star ratings when there are no reviews
Reviews
When Trustpilot (or similar) data is stored, we show the source, score, and review count. If sync date is missing, we say so. When there are no reviews: “No customer reviews available.”
